Axel Springer AG is a German digital publishing house which is the largest in Europe, with numerous multimedia news brands, such as Bild, Die Welt, and Fakt. It is headquartered in Berlin and has around 15,000 employees worldwide. The company was founded in 1946 by Axel Springer and his wife Friede Springer.
